Join us for the Maine AFL-CIO & BLE 2011 Labor Summer Institute!
Over the past year, Maine workers have come together to fight back attacks on our rights and our unions. Without a doubt, we'll be seeing more over the next years... so we've got to keep the momentum up.
That's one reason why we've brought back the Maine AFL-CIO Labor Summer Institute - a 2-day solidarity school where union members can get a chance to meet each other, learn new skills, and build our power. This year's Institute will be on Wed August 10th and Thurs. Aug 11th at the University of Maine in Orono. We spend two days learning a lot of new skills -- from speaking to the media to mobilizing our members-- and having some good fun along the way.
Please strongly consider sending at least one member from your local to this year's Labor Summer Institute, and keep up the momentum!
