LABOR VOTING RECORD HOUSE 2007

123rd MAINE LEGISLATURE

NOTE: The chart below covers ten key votes of importance to working families in Maine cast by Maine representatives at the 2007 session of the Maine House. It gives the name, party affiliation, home town and Legislative District of each of the members of the Maine House. The names are arranged alphabetically.

An "R" indicates a "right" vote and a "W" indicates a "wrong" vote from the standpoint of labor. The number at the top of the column indicates the measure that was voted on. The columns, to the far right, indicate the percentage of "right" votes cast during the 2007 session.  The percentage is based on total votes actually cast. If the representative is absent or excused there is an "X".  The material "Labor Vote Information" below provides a brief description of the measure vote on, the Legislative Document (LD) number, the roll call number in the House (HRC). If you want more information on the particular piece of legislation click here Keeping Track of "Your Bill" and on the Maine legislative search page type in the LD number of the bill.

WHO REPRESENTS YOU?: If you do not know the name of your representative:

FIND YOUR LEGISLATOR

State Senate and House Members 2007
The link below will take you to the letters of the alphabet. You click on the first letter of the name of your TOWN and a list of all Maine towns starting with that letter will appear. After the name of your town you will find the names of  both the Maine Senator and Maine Representative who represent your town. Click on either name and a picture and full information about that member of the Legislature will appear.

NAME CHANGES 2007
During 2007 Rep.Abbie Holman died and was replaced by Rep. Dean Jones who also died and late in the year was replaced by his wife Rep. Pat Jones. Since the first two representatives each voted only twice on our selected labor votes, they have not been included at all in the 2007 House Labor Vote table. The votes of Pat Jones will show up in the 2008 House Labor Vote table. There were four other deaths or resignations of Representatives in 2007. Replacements were elected in November 2008. This creates a difference of five names between the 2007 and 2008 House Labor vote tables.
